NODUS Workspace is a browser extension that runs in your browser's side panel. Everything you create or import is stored locally in your browser's storage, on your own machine — not on our servers.
Nothing about your content. No sign-up and no account are required to use Workspace itself. We don't run analytics or telemetry on what you write, open, import or draw, and there is no NODUS server that receives your files, notes or settings. The only data that ever leaves your device is tied to optional features — PRO license validation and Spotlight promotions — described in sections 8 and 9, and it never includes your files.
Your documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, clips, notes, drawings, folders and preferences are stored only in your browser profile, on your computer. They are never uploaded anywhere by Workspace.
When you export a backup, it is encrypted with AES-256 using a password you choose. We never receive that file, and only you can decrypt it. If you lose the password, no one — including us — can recover the contents.
The extension requests only what it needs to run locally:
All of the extension's code ships inside the published package. Nothing is downloaded from a server and executed at runtime. What you install is exactly what runs.
NODUS Workspace itself uses none. The only exception is optional: if you choose to buy NODUS PRO, the payment is processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record), under Paddle's privacy policy. Buying PRO is entirely separate from your files.
If you activate PRO, your subscription is validated by sending two things to our license endpoint: your subscription email and a device fingerprint (a one-way hash that identifies the install, so one license isn't used on unlimited devices). That is the only thing checked — your documents, notes and file content are never included. One NODUS PRO subscription unlocks PRO across NODUS AI, PH Radar and Workspace.
If you choose to promote something through Spotlight, a promotion record — identified by a promotionId — is created with the details you submit (such as title, link and targeting options) and an email for notifications. We keep aggregate impression and click counts for that promotion. This is entirely voluntary and you initiate it; nothing is taken from your private Workspace files or notes.
Workspace is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Because your files live on your device, you are in full control of them: export, delete, or uninstall the extension to remove everything. Under privacy laws such as the EU's GDPR and Brazil's LGPD you have rights over your personal data — for the limited account/promotion data described above (subscription email, device fingerprint, promotionId), email us to access or erase it. Your file content is never held on any server, so there is nothing there to request.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
